The Ballpark at the Museum

Visitors to the Milwaukee Public Museum are greeted by many spectacular images as they enter. Those who come in from Wells or James Lovell Streets are greeted by a majestic entryway, all marble and windows, the IMAX theater on the right and the museum on the left. Those that come in the back way, from the parking garage, are treated to a different but no-less-impressive view: a window into the past.

This photo, enlarged and spread over both walls of a corner, shows Athletic Park in its relative youth. Looks like Opening Day or some other special occasion, to be so crowded. The men in their jackets and hats and the ladies (what few of them there are) in their bustles and corsets and shirts. And hats.

Looks 1910s to me, but I'm not sure I know this specific photograph. It's not labeled. Need to do more research.
